What is red light therapy?

Red light therapy involves the application of specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to the body through the skin. These wavelengths cannot be felt and do not generate heat upon exposure.

This process, also known as LED therapy or phototherapy, energizes the mitochondria in your cells, enhancing your metabolism and aiding in fat loss. The therapy also improves skin conditions, aids muscle recovery, and boosts mood and sleep quality.

How does red light therapy work?

Each session lasts about 30 minutes—10 minutes on a shake plate for exercises and 20 minutes under the therapeutic red light. The whole treatment is non-invasive, relaxing, pain-free, and soothing.

Because red light penetrates deep inside the layers of the skin, it stimulates the mitochondria of the cells. Since the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell, this stimulation creates more energy, allowing cells to repair themselves, create new growth, and work more efficiently. By boosting blood flow and cell energy, RLT triggers healing and anti-inflammatory processes within the body.
